PLEASE NOTE: Since plants are often sourced from the garden to order, sizes do vary a little, depending on how they come out of the ground, but I always endeavour to give a little more rather than less! They are sometimes shipped bare-rooted, but will approximate the size specified (e.g. a 9cm pot).
Clematis terniflora var. mandschuria
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow immediately on receipt, on the surface of good quality, moist compost, covering with a dusting of sieved compost or fine vermiculite. Keep pot in a cold frame or sheltered spot and do not exclude light, which aids germination. Be patient - germination can be erratic and although some seedlings should appear in months, others may take 2-3 years, so do not discard. Transplant seedlings into 9cm pots and grow on until large enough to plant out.
