PLEASE NOTE: Since plants are often sourced from the garden to order, sizes do vary a little, depending on how they come out of the ground, but I always endeavour to give a little more rather than less! They are sometimes shipped bare-rooted, but will approximate the size specified (e.g. a 9cm pot).
This pretty alpine, which comes from the Ural mountains and is rare out of its natural habitat, has tiny, sky blue flowers above rosettes of grey-green foliage.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow in winter (cold is required for germination), barely covering with a very fine sprinkling of sand or grit. Seeds may take months (up to a year) to germinate, so do not discard the pot if no signs of life are seen. Pot on seedlings into a free-draining compost containing some grit or sand and grow on until large enough to plant out.
