Related to saxifrage and having its origins in Chile, this beautiful perennial has lance-shaped, lobed basal leaves and pink, two-toned, 4-petalled flowers in racemes on erect stems.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow the very fine seed Feb-June on the surface of of good quality, moist but not waterlogged compost, covering with a sprinkling of fine vermiculite. Keep at 13-15C/50-60F. Do not exclude light. Germination 14-30 days. Transplant seedlings as they appear into 7cm/3 inch pots and grow on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant out in moist, free-draining soil in full sun.
