PLEASE NOTE: Since plants are often sourced from the garden to order, sizes do vary a little, depending on how they come out of the ground, but I always endeavour to give a little more rather than less! They are sometimes shipped bare-rooted, but will approximate the size specified (e.g. a 9cm pot).
Whorled clary sage
Whorls of small, lilac flowers spaced along stems arising from dense clumps of grey-green, slightly hairy, basal foliage. A tough plant that tolerates sand, chalk and dryness.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow in spring, 0.2in/5mm deep. No heat is required but to protect young seedlings it may be as well to put sown pots and seedlings in a cold frame. Plant out 2ft apart.
