PLEASE NOTE: Since plants are often sourced from the garden to order, sizes do vary a little, depending on how they come out of the ground, but I always endeavour to give a little more rather than less! They are sometimes shipped bare-rooted, but will approximate the size specified (e.g. a 9cm pot).
Teucrium hircanicum 'Purple Tails'
Caucasian Germander 'Purple Tails'
Just a few plants available
Deep pink flower spikes with purple bracts from early summer to autumn, on erect stems rise above crinkled rich green basal foliage. Cut back after first flush to encourage new blooms. Although it prefers moist, free-draining soil, this plant is drought tolerant.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow direct in spring or autumn, thinning to 1 foot apart, or thinly in modules for planting out later. Self seeds enthusiastically, so cut back spend flower heads swiftly if you wish to avoid this.
