PLEASE NOTE: Since plants are often sourced from the garden to order, sizes do vary a little, depending on how they come out of the ground, but I always endeavour to give a little more rather than less! They are sometimes shipped bare-rooted, but will approximate the size specified (e.g. a 9cm pot).
Lamium galeobdolon subsp. Argentatum
Variegated Yellow Archangel
A small, variegated nettle with spikes of yellow flowers. A good choice for woodland planting or at the front of shady borders.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow in a pot of moist, but not waterlogged, compost and keep indoors in an unheated propagator or plastic bag for for two weeks; then place in a fridge for a further 10 weeks. Grow seedlings on in individual pots or modules until large enough to plant out. Alternatively, sow in pots or trays in autumn, in a cold frame or sheltered location for germination in the spring.
