PLEASE NOTE: Since plants are often sourced from the garden to order, sizes do vary a little, depending on how they come out of the ground, but I always endeavour to give a little more rather than less! |This attractive perennial is bushy plant growing to a height of around 24 inches/60 cm. It has intricately divided foliage and produces masses of small flowers with deep-burgundy centres surrounded by paler petals, borne on wiry stems. Attractive to butterflies and other pollinating insects and makes a good cut flower.|

|Surface sow under glass in Spring onto good quality, moist compost, covering with the barest sprinkling of sieved compost or fine vermiculite. Provide a temperature of 65-70F/18-21C for germination, which can be erratic, taking from 7-40 days. Pot on seedlings into individual pots or modules and grow on, hardening off before planting outside after all danger of frost is past.|
