Sowing time/depth Autumn or Spring,
Although crow garlic is often considered a weed (the bulbils produced at the tip of the stems fall to the ground and can cause it to spread rather too eagerly!), if you don't have space to grow proper garlic but would like to add a hint of fresh garlic to meals, you might consider growing some plants in a container near the back door. The leaves can be chopped, much as you would chives. I understand that in large quantities they could be slightly toxic, but not much is needed.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Very easy... just gently rake into the surface of compost in a container and let nature take its course. All parts of the plant can be used. It is not advisable to let it escape into your flower beds, so remove the bulbils when they are mature but before they drop to the ground.
