Sowing and/or growing instructions | ||||||||||||
Sow Feb-July, gently pressing onto the surface of a moist, but not waterlogged, 50:50 peat/sand mix. Place in a propagator or sealed plastic bag at 13-15C/55-60F for 2-3 weeks (do not exclude light), then place in the fridge for 3-6 weeks, after which return the tray to the propagator for germination, which is likely to be erratic, taking from 4 weeks to a year. Transplant seedlings as they appear into 7cm/3 inch pots and grow on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant out, 12 inches apart in sun or light shade. |
