| This pretty thistle is a native of Japan. It produces small, fluffy, globe-like blooms in shades of pink above mid-green foliage from late summer to autumn. | ||||||||||||
| Sowing and/or growing instructions | ||||||||||||
| Sow under glass on the surface of seed compost, covering with a bare sprinkling of sieved compost or fine vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 15-20C (60-70F). Germination usually takes 21-40 days. Transplant into individual pots or modules when large enough to handle and plant in full sun in any reasonable soil. Early sowings will flower in their first year. |
