Soft, divided, grey-green leaves contrast beautifully with the double, soft-orange blooms on thin, wiry stems, which are produced continuously throught the summer months and well into autumn. The delicate seed heads can be used in dried flower arrangements. A short-lived perennial, but self-seeds.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Resents disturbance so it is best to sow direct - just scatter seed in the desired position. Protect seedlings from slugs and snails. Thin to 1ft/30cm apart, choosing the most robust plants. Alternatively, sow thinly in modules, retaining one plant in each. Plant out carefully, avoiding root disturbance. |
