This perennial Rudbeckia is a trouble-free plant that makes a stunning statement when planted en masse in the hot bed! The deep yellow flowers with black eyes stand on tall, wiry stems and are a very useful cut flower. Prefers full sun but will tolerte part shade. |
Sowing and/or growing instructions |
Sow February-March, barely covering the seed with a little vermiculite or sifted compost (light is required for germination, which should take 2-3 weeks). Place in a propagator or sealed plastic bag at 68-77F/20-25C. Prick out seedlings into large modules or 3in pots and grow on under glass. Acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out when all danger of frost is past. |
