Morning glory 'Grandpa Otts'
Type/Hardiness Herbaceous, Annual, Climber, Half hardy
Flowering period July-October
Height 6-9ft/2-3m
Light preference Full sun
Soil preference Any, fertile, free-draining

An abundance of the familiar Morning Glory flowers, but in an intense deep-violet colour that will hit you between the eyes! Although it is possible that not all seeds will come true, I would expect most to do so. Attracts butterflies and other pollinating insects.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Soak overnight and/or nick the seed coating, then sow singly, 0.25in/6mm, in modules or two to a 3in pot, under glass in spring. Pinch out growing tips of seedlings when they are a few inches tall. Acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out when all risk of frost has passed.
