Autumn Ox Eye, High Daisy, Giant Daisy

Masses of white daisy flowers about 2 inches across top this tall plant, which is more delicate than the related Leucanthemum superbum. The stems are taller and less lax, seldom needing support. Much recommended, both for the back of the border and as a cut flower. p>
N.B. Sometimes listed as Chrysanthemum serotinum, Chrysanthemum uliginosum or Leucanthemum maximum uliginosum. NOTE: Depending on season, plants, when available, may be trimmed back and/or barerooted for shipping. |

Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow February to June onto the surface of a pot of moist compost, barely covering with a little vermiculite or sieved compost. Enclose in a plastic bag or place in a propagator at 59-68F/15-20C until germination (usually 10-14 days). Prick out seedlings into individual pots and grow on, planting out when all danger of frost is past. Please note that I suspect that the germination rate of these seeds may be lower than that of some other daisies, so recommend sowing the the full contents of the packet. I will include some extras too! |
