Sowing time/depth ,
An unusual, hardy salvia with large, textured leaves and deep purple and white flowers on strong stems. Very attractive.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow thinly, on the surface of good quality, moist (but not water-logged) compost, barely covered with a sprinkling of sieved compost or fine vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 18-23C/65-75F. Do not allow to dry out. Germination can be erratic, so don't discard the seeds too soon. Grow on seedlings in 9cm pots, hardening off and planting out when all danger of frost is past.
