A lovely red perennial salvia, which is usually hardy, though winter protection is recommended in colder parts of the UK.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow at any time, but as soon as possible on receipt, in good, soil-based compost. Barely cover with fine grit or compost. Germination will often be improved by keeping in a propagator at 15-20C, but good results should be obtained in a cold frame or cold greenhouse, and in fact a cold period followed by warmth may be beneficial. Grow seedlings on in individual pots, planting out after all danger of frost has passed.
