Sowing and/or growing instructions | ||||||||||||
Sow in spring in small pots or modules on the surface of good quality compost, barely covered, and place in a propagator or sealed plastic bag at 13-16C/55-60F. Grow seedlings on in 9cm pots and plant out after all risk of frost has passed. Can also be sown in the autumn in a cold frame for planting out the following spring. Germination usually takes 4-6 weeks. Cut back spent stems after flowering. This helps to encourage good flowering the next year and to keep the plants compact. |
