Campanula punctata 'Kent Belle'

Nodding heads of deep-violet narrow, tubular flowers adorn this attractive campanula. Will probably not always come true from seed, but my experience with another campanula with similarly shaped flowers (Campanula takesimana) is that collected seeds are are likely to produce plants with blooms of a similar shape and habit, though the depth of colour may vary.
Sowing and/or growing instructions
Sow thinly on the surface in a small pot, January-March, pressing lightly into the compost. Place pot in propagator or plastic bag, and do not exclude light as this is required for germination, which should take 14-28 days. Aim to maintain a temperature of 68F/20C. Prick out seedlings as soon as they are large enough to handle, growing on in 3in pots. Harden off before planting out when risk of frost is past. |
