Sowing and/or growing instructions | ||||||||||||
Best sown direct March-April, gently raking into the soil. Choose a fertile site in full sun or part shade. Germination usually takes 20-30 days. If sown in pots or modules, do so extremely thinly as the roots of seedlings will resent disturbance, so transplanting is inadvisable. Barely cover the seeds with a little sifted compost or fine vermiculite. Do not provide heat, which could deter germination. Plant modules intact, thinning a little if necessary. |
